Product Description

This Yellow Costus is sometimes sold as "Belize Yellow".  It is a beautiful and interesting tropical plant that produces yellow cones with red flowers protruding from each one - it's sure to be noticed in any tropical garden.

The leaves are lush and are mid-green colour and can grow up to about 2m although you can trim it back to 1m if necessary.

Our Costus plants are supplied as bare-rooted rhizomes, ideal for posting, and as they are fast growing they will establish quickly.  They are strong growers but are not invasive.

Important information about your order

We post to all states except WA, TAS & NT

All of our plants are posted bare-rooted, wrapped in slightly damp paper

We try not to trim back plants for postage unless we really have to - for example our Gingers and Heliconias are trimmed back to rhizomes as they post and plant better this way

We post on the Monday after payment has been received.  Payment needs to have been received by 8am Monday to be included in that day's mail

All items are sent with tracking and where an order totals over $100 it will require a signature on delivery

We inspect every plant before it leaves us to make sure we are sending you healthy, good-sized plants that will perform well in your climate

When you receive your plants

Please unpack the box as soon as possible

If you're not ready to plant, leave your plants in a cool, shady place either wrapped in damp paper or in a tub of water until you are ready

Look out for our discount cards - we often reward our customers with a discount voucher so we'll put one in your box whenever we have a promotion running
