We're nearly out of stock...
Our White Agapanthus are currently in 140mm pots, but they will be removed from their pots and posted bare-rooted. Alternatively you can pick them up from the nursery in their pots. They are nearly at flowering size.
They are extremely tough, drought tolerant plants that will thrive in the full sun.
One of the great attributes of these plants is that they can be used in blocks or rows to create a bold, formal garden or border, or they can be planted more randomly and create a more casual feel - either way they are eye catching and a reliable source of colour. For a less formal look have you considered a mix of blue and white agapanthus?
Whilst they can survive long periods of drought and will grow and flower in poor soil, you will get the best results if you water them well until they are established and occassionally top them up with organic fertilisers or compost. Before Summer you should mulch the plants to keep the roots cool and prevent excess evaporation.
These are the tall white flowering agapanthus plants that will grow to about 1m. We do also grow dwarf and semi-dwarf varieties if that suits your needs better.
How far apart? Agapanthus are naturally clump forming plants, so they don't mind being planted close together. Provided you can supply them with moisture and nutrients they don't mind how close together they are. For a driveway border, we'd suggest 60 to 80cm apart, but really it is up to you and the look you want to create.
A landscaping project? Please contact us for bulk pricing. Bulk Agapanthus plants picked up from the nursery will be supplied in 140mm pots.
NOTE: We are not able to guarantee the colour of these agapanthus as they are seed grown and have not flowered yet. Our seed supplier is confident that their White Agapanthus seed has been grown in an area with no other Agapanthus, but stray pollen carried by insects can still result in some plants flowering blue. For this reason we keep the prices of our standard Blue and White Agapanthus low. Some of our other Agapanthus varieties such as Tinkerbell, Roseus & Snowball are propagated by division or tissue culture meaning that we can be more confident of the colours but they are more expensive to produce.
