Product Description

Variegated society garlic (Tulbaghia voilacea variegata) makes an ideal border or rockery plant and makes a spectacular display when mass planted.  Whilst it prefers moist soil, it is drought tolerant.

It should be planted in part shade or full sun.

The box you will receive will contain 40 plants, each plant will be a bulb with leaves similar to that shown in the second picture.

Society Garlic takes a few months to settle in, so initially it may not seem to grow much, but once established it is an extremely tough and reliable plant that will gradually multiply to fill a border.

Important information about your order

We post to all states except WA, TAS & NT

All of our plants are posted bare-rooted, wrapped in slightly damp paper

We try not to trim back plants for postage unless we really have to - for example our Gingers and Heliconias are trimmed back to rhizomes as they post and plant better this way

We post on the Monday after payment has been received.  Payment needs to have been recieved by 8am Monday to be included in that day's mail

All items are sent with tracking and where an order totals over $100 it will require a signature on delivery

We inspect every plant before it leaves us to make sure we are sending you healthy, good-sized plants that will perform well in your climate

When you receive your plants

Please unpack the box as soon as possible

If you're not ready to plant, leave your plants in a cool, shady place either wrapped in damp paper or in a tub of water until you are ready

Look out for our discount cards - we often reward our customers with a discount voucher so we'll put one in your box whenever we have a promotion running
