Red hot pokers are wonderful plants for adding a splash of bright red and yellow colour to sunny garden beds.
The variety we grow has attractive lime-green leaves all year. It may be deciduous in cooler climates, but in SE Queensland and similarly warm areas it remains evergreen. It flowers from early winter and into Spring.
There are many types of Kniphofia, some flowering through Spring and Summer, but ours flowers through Winter which is a great advantage as not much else is in flower.
The plants we supply are our own mix - most will flower orange-red with a yellow base, but occassionally one will flower entirely yellow. They are flowering size, but they will be trimmed back and posted bare-rooted.

Plants arrived in beautiful condition - great root system and good size although one was alot smaller than the other two but hasn't made a difference since putting them in the ground - all are doing well and have settled in great. Would purchase again - I hope Golden Valley gets some other colours & varieties so i can purchase more.

Received my kniphofia bulbs yesterday. The roots are in superb condition and the size exceeded my expectations. These are top quality bulbs and I am looking forward immensely to their flowering,
