Commonly called rain or storm lilies because they reliably flower following rain, particularly in Autumn, these bulbous plants are all in the Amaryllis family but are from two separate genus - habranthus and zephyranthes.
We have four varieties in this pack of bulbs, there are 4 flowering size bulbs of each variety, plus we'll add an extra couple of bulbs of at least one of the varieties:
Habranthus robustus (pale pink)
Habranthus tubispathus (copper)
Zephyranthes flavissima (yellow)
Zephyranthes candida (white)
Whilst it may tempting to plant them side by side, they look best in clumps of their own colour as each one has slightly different foliage and the pale pink habranthus robustus is about 5cm taller than the others. They will grow well either in the garden or in pots provided they get at least half a day of sun and are not over watered.
All of them multiply well so after one season you will have more bulbs.
If you are after some low maintenance, easy to grow flowers then these are for you. They are very tolerant of periods of drought and will remain evergreen except when conditions are really tough - then they will loose their leaves and wait for better conditions before they quickly re-emerge. They also don't mind being mailed to whereever you are and replanted in most climates at any time of the year.
