One hundred shades of orange

Posted by

We were attending the Queensland Garden Expo earlier in the year when a customer looked at one of our clivias and remarked, "Oh yes, I've got the orange one".

With Clivias, there's such a diversity of flower shapes, sizes, shades and centre colours, among other things that there really is no "orange one".

I took the photo above in a rather untended part of our garden this afternoon.  Even from a distance each plant is unique.  Here's some more of our orange clivias from my walk around the garden and nursery.

Seed grown clivias are individuals, and if you're ever tempted to think "I've got the orange one" then think again because you could be missing out on something beautiful.
