Heliconia Golden Torch (Psittacorum x Spathocircinata cv. Golden Torch) has golden yellow to orange flower bracts and glossy tropical leaves.
It prefers moist soils with added compost in a part-shade position. It is not frost hardy.
As each stem flowers once, you can cut off stems that have flowered and they will be replaced with new stems and flowers.
The plants supplied for this price are bare-rooted rhizomes with the leaves trimmed back. They will have at least one, usually more, good growing points. They transplant well like this and the leaves will grow back quickly.
If you are picking up or arranging freight we can also usually supply Golden Torch in 165mm pots for $20, 200mm pots for $25 and sometimes we have 250mm pots too ($35).
