We currently send plants from our wholesale nursery to most parts of Queensland and New South Wales, and some parts of Victoria.
Our customers include large and small retail stores, councils, botanic gardens and parks, and those involved in the commercial and domestic landscape industry.
We are happy to use any freight company of your choice, provided they will pick up from our nursery or we can freight stock to their depot.
The companies we've been using are:
Plant Delivery Services (PDS) - many parts of Queensland from the Gold Coast to Townsville and inland as far as Emerald and Chinchilla. Rates start at $60+GST for SEQ.
Maney Transport - Roma, Charleville, & Goondiwindi
Freeman Freighters - Cairns, Sydney, Melbourne
Pot, tray and pallet sizes
Most of our plants are in 125mm, 140mm, 160/165mm, 200mm, 250mm, 300mm or 400mm pots.
Freight companies often work in tray sizes.
Per tray we fit:
15 x 125mm
12 x 140mm
6 x 160mm or 165mm
For larger plants many freight companies usually work in rack or pallet sizes.
As a guide, 16 x 300mm pots will fit on the base of a pallet. They can often be double stacked with a further 6 x 300mm or 9 x 250mm. Occasionally you get some leaf damage during transport from double stacking, but many customers still request double stacking to reduce freight costs.
Red Imported Fire Ants (RIFA)
Golden Valley Nursery is currently not in a RIFA zone. For interstate transport we provide a map showing the RIFA Zones and highlighting the location of our nursery. If you require any other documentation please discuss this with us.
Plant Labels and Barcodes
Where possible we send our plants with full colour tag-lock tags or hang tags. For some varieties we are only able to source descriptive stick tags. We assume you need one tag per pot but if you only require one tag per tray, such as for landscaping jobs, please let us know - its better for the environment if we don't waste tags. We are happy to apply bar-codes if you send them to us in advance.
