Clivia robusta is a tall growing member of the Clivia family. It can reach over 1.5m high in ideal conditions, but usually will grow to about 1m tall.
It has orange to red coloured pendulous flowers with green tips and is said to be more tolerant of sun and over-watering than most other Clivia. In fact, some people grow them in light shade on the banks of dams and flood areas. We grow ours in the same conditions and using the same potting medium that we use for all of our Clivias and they grow very easily for us.
Clivia robusta makes an ideal easy-care, eye-catching plant for your garden - all of your visitors will be asking what it is. It is also a fantastic plant for Clivia breeders, as it is useful to cross with other types of Clivias to create interesting and vigorous interspecifics.
The plants on offer here are not quite at flowering size, but they are over 2 years old and are large and are well established in their 140 - 165mm pots.
